The process to change

everyday we have the option to create new habits or continue old ones

personal life quote “

As far as I can remember I thought life as a one way road. You were born and you continue forward till you the day you die, but as you get older you find out that your one way road starts to have many crossroads... And being that you're in youth you don't realize those are all paths to change, so you continue to barrel forward. You do this so often you don't even realize that you have passed up so many opportunities for growth. You have now missed moments that held lessons that could have taken you down an even better path; full of things you can only now entertain the thought of. If you allow yourself to get into this type of mentality, this tunnel vision type of lifestyle, then your current bad habits will become your addiction. The longer you allow yourself to be ignorant to change, the harder it will be to let go of those bad habits and go down a better path... There is a quote by Warren buffet that goes:
"The chains of a habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken,"
In other words; this life is not never ending and today, tomorrow seems like its so far away until you wake and it's here. So, don't wait until tomorrow to do what u could have done yesterday. It took me years to grasp these concepts and everyday I still struggle with the follow through. Everyday I struggle with bad habits more than I debate about hitting the snooze button on my alarm . But through taking so many wrong turns and ending up at so many dead ends, I make sure to remind myself that I would rather continue making progress than to not; and wonder why I'm missing out on blessings and opportunities. The aspect that I no longer travel this road I'm on alone was a big eye opener. For those with children, they fully comprehend that "they walk in your footsteps so they can get through the snow". Taking a wrong turn is one thing when your alone, but to do that with a child and not attempt to course correct now no longer just puts strife on you, but also on the little person or persons following behind. They follow you with the utmost trust and faith that you will take them in the direction that they need to be going. So with that being said, remember to be mindful that while traveling your road, it's not a one way street; those turn offs are there for a reason and be open to new possibilities and never close your minds eye to self growth. I'll leave you with one more quote to marinate on:
"Looking at life from a different perspective makes you realize that it's not the deer that is crossing the road, rather the road that is crossing the forest." -Muhammad Ali
